I believe that when we take care of our hormones and health, we can accomplish anything
we want to.

It took me years of struggling through irregular periods, fatigue, acne, and more to get a diagnosis of PCOS (PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome), a genetic anaemia called beta-thalassaemia, and a thyroid disorder. Thanks to dietary changes, self-awareness, self-advocacy, naturopathic support, and acupuncture, I was able to transform my health.
That's why I became a naturopathic doctor and period literacy advocate. And that's why my practice focuses around the optimization of hormones (including sex hormones, thyroid, insulin, cortisol), periods and PMS, PCOS, endometriosis, the perimenopausal experience, fertility, and pregnancy. The way I support patients is by listening to their stories and experiences, conducting comprehensive assessments and relevant testing, providing nutritional and lifestyle guidance, adding in strategic supplementation and herbs, making the appropriate referrals, and administering B12 injections, hormone replacement therapy, and acupuncture when appropriate. I'm personally plant-based, but my philosophy is to support you with the kind of life you want to live (although if you don't eat a lot of fruits and veggies, you can bet that we'll be talking about that!). I'm also trained in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, which is a whole-body treatment to stimulate collagen and vibrancy in the skin. I learned much of this at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine after completing a 5-year co-op BSc Honours program in Biochemistry and Biomedical Sciences at McMaster University.
When I'm not seeing patients and running my practice, I can usually be found reading, walking, drinking tea, eating chocolate, playing my alto saxophone, spending time in nature, doing arts and crafts projects, and dreaming up ways we can empower and support more menstruators to take up more space and diversified roles across the globe.
I love empowering my patients to get to know their bodies really well, to not settle for subpar health and healthcare, to learn about the options available to them, and to elevate their health because without optimal health, we can’t be there for ourselves, our dreams and goals, and our loved ones. Health is a journey since our bodies, health status, and goals are always changing; if you're looking for support with any of that, I'd be honoured to walk alongside you.
